The Lord was very angry with Solomon, for his heart had turned away from the Lord, the God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice.

Rev. 2:4 (NLT)

But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first!

2 Cor. 11:3 (NLT)

But I fear that somehow you will be led away from your pure and simple devotion to Christ, just as Eve was deceived by the serpent.

Galatians 3:1-3 (NLT)

Oh, foolish Galatians! What magician has cast an evil spell on you? For you used to see the meaning of Jesus Christ's death as clearly as though I had shown you a signboard with a picture of Christ dying on the cross. [2] Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by keeping the law? Of course not, for the Holy Spirit came upon you only after you believed the message you heard about Christ. [3] Have you lost your senses? After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort?

Galatians 5:4 (NLT)

For if you are trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ! You have fallen away from God's grace.

Galatians 5:7 (NLT)

You were getting along so well. Who has interfered with you to hold you back from following the truth?

Psalm 78:57 (NLT)

They turned back and were as faithless as their parents had been.

They were as useless as a crooked bow.

for he speaks peace to his people, his faithful ones.

But let them not return to their foolish ways.

If you think you are standing strong, be careful, for you, too, may fall into the same sin.

Numbers 14:43 (NLT)

When you face the Amalekites and Canaanites in battle, you will be slaughtered. The Lord will abandon you because you have abandoned the Lord."

Psalm 125:5 (NLT)

But banish those who turn to crooked ways, O Lord.

Take them away with those who do evil.

And let Israel have quietness and peace.

Isaiah 59:2 (NLT)

But there is a problem—your sins have cut you off from God. Because of your sin, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

Isaiah 59:9-11 (NLT)

It is because of all this evil that deliverance is far from us. That is why God doesn't punish those who injure us. No wonder we are in darkness when we expected light. No wonder we are walking in the gloom. [10] No wonder we grope like blind people and stumble along. Even at brightest noontime, we fall down as though it were dark. No wonder we are like corpses when compared to vigorous young men! [11] We growl like hungry bears; we moan like mournful doves. We look for justice, but it is nowhere to be found. We look to be rescued, but it is far away from us.

Jeremiah 5:6 (NLT)

So now a lion from the forest will attack them; a wolf from the desert will pounce on them. A leopard will lurk near their towns, tearing apart any who dare to venture out. For their rebellion is great, and their sins are many.

Jeremiah 8:5 (NLT)

Then why do these people keep going along their self-destructive path, refusing to turn back, even though I have warned them?

I will take away their rich harvests of figs and grapes. Their fruit trees will all die. All the good things I prepared for them will soon be gone. I, the Lord, have spoken!'

But Jesus told him, "Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God."

Proverbs 14:14 (NLT)

Backsliders get what they deserve; good people receive their reward.

Jeremiah 2:19 (NLT)

Your own wickedness will punish you. You will see what an evil, bitter thing it is to forsake the Lord your God, having no fear of him. I, the Lord, the Lord Almighty, have spoken!

Proverbs 16:18 (NLT)

Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.

Hosea 11:7 (NLT)

For my people are determined to desert me. They call me the Most High, but they don't truly honor me.

"My wayward children," says the Lord, "come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts."

"Yes, we will come," the people reply, "for you are the Lord our God.

Hosea 6:1 (NLT)

"Come, let us return to the Lord! He has torn us in pieces; now he will heal us. He has injured us; now he will bandage our wounds.

Make your face shine down upon us.

Only then will we be saved.

Galatians 6:1 (NLT)

Dear brothers and sisters, if another Christian is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself.

James 5:19-20 (NLT)

My dear brothers and sisters, if anyone among you wanders away from the truth and is brought back again, [20] you can be sure that the one who brings that person back will save that sinner from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.

Isaiah 59:12-14 (NLT)

For our sins are piled up before God and testify against us. Yes, we know what sinners we are. [13] We know that we have rebelled against the Lord. We have turned our backs on God. We know how unfair and oppressive we have been, carefully planning our deceitful lies. [14] Our courts oppose people who are righteous, and justice is nowhere to be found. Truth falls dead in the streets, and fairness has been outlawed.

Jeremiah 3:13-14 (NLT)

Only acknowledge your guilt. Admit that you rebelled against the Lord your God and committed adultery against him by worshiping idols under every green tree. Confess that you refused to follow me. I, the Lord, have spoken!' "

[14] "Return home, you wayward children," says the Lord, "for I am your husband. I will bring you again to the land of Israel—one from here and two from there, from wherever you are scattered.

Why are you like a stranger to us? Why are you like someone passing through the land, stopping only for the night? [9] Are you also confused? Are you helpless to save us? You are right here among us, Lord. We are known as your people. Please don't abandon us now!"

whose thoughts are fixed on you!

[4] Trust in the Lord always,

for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.

Col. 1:21-23 (NLT)

This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions, [22] yet now he has brought you back as his friends. He has done this through his death on the cross in his own human body. As a result, he has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault. [23] But you must continue to believe this truth and stand in it firmly. Don't drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed by God to proclaim it.

Psalm 101:3 (NLT)

I will refuse to look at

anything vile and vulgar.

I will have nothing to do with them.

Exodus 32:8 (NLT)

Neh. 9:26 (NLT)

"But despite all this, they were disobedient and rebelled against you. They threw away your law, they killed the prophets who encouraged them to return to you, and they committed terrible blasphemies.

Jeremiah 3:11 (NLT)

Then the Lord said to me, "Even faithless Israel is less guilty than treacherous Judah!

Hosea 4:16 (NLT)

Israel is as stubborn as a heifer, so the Lord will put her out to pasture. She will stand alone and unprotected, like a helpless lamb in an open field.

1 Samuel 15:11 (NLT)

"I am sorry that I ever made Saul king, for he has not been loyal to me and has again refused to obey me." Samuel was so deeply moved when he heard this that he cried out to the Lord all night.

1 Kings 11:3-4 (NLT)

He had seven hundred wives and three hundred concubines. And sure enough, they led his heart away from the Lord. [4] In Solomon's old age, they turned his heart to worship their gods instead of trusting only in the Lord his God, as his father, David, had done.

Matthew 26:70-74 (NLT)

But Peter denied it in front of everyone. "I don't know what you are talking about," he said.

[71] Later, out by the gate, another servant girl noticed him and said to those standing around, "This man was with Jesus of Nazareth."

[72] Again Peter denied it, this time with an oath. "I don't even know the man," he said.

[73] A little later some other bystanders came over to him and said, "You must be one of them; we can tell by your Galilean accent."

[74] Peter said, "I swear by God, I don't know the man." And immediately the rooster crowed.

 Hebrews 10:26

10:26 When people deliberately reject Christ’s offer of salvation, they reject God’s most precious gift. They ignore the leading of the Holy Spirit, the one who communicates to us God’s saving love. This warning was given to Jewish Christians who were tempted to reject Christ for Judaism, but it applies to anyone who rejects Christ for another religion or, having understood Christ’s atoning work, deliberately turns away from it (see also Numbers 15:30-31 and Mark 3:28-30). The point is that there is no other acceptable sacrifice for sin than the death of Christ on the cross. If someone deliberately rejects the sacrifice of Christ after clearly understanding the gospel teaching about it, then there is no way for that person to be saved, because God has not provided any other name under heaven by which we can be saved (see Acts 4:12).

Numbers 15:30-31 (NLT)

"But those who brazenly violate the Lord's will, whether native Israelites or foreigners, blaspheme the Lord, and they must be cut off from the community. [31] Since they have treated the Lord's word with contempt and deliberately disobeyed his commands, they must be completely cut off and suffer the consequences of their guilt."

Mark 3:28-30 (NLT)

"I assure you that any sin can be forgiven, including blasphemy; [29] but anyone who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven. It is an eternal sin." [30] He told them this because they were saying he had an evil spirit.

Acts 4:12 (NLT)

There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them."

Hebrews 10:26 (NLT)

Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received a full knowledge of the truth, there is no other sacrifice that will cover these sins.

 Numbers 15:30-31

15:30-31 God was willing to forgive those who made unintentional errors if they realized their mistakes quickly and corrected them. However, those who defiantly and deliberately sinned received a harsher judgment. Intentional sin grows out of an improper attitude toward God. A child who knowingly disobeys his parents challenges their authority and dares them to respond. Both the act and the attitude have to be dealt with.
